What are PBR textures?

PBR (physically based rendering) textures are sets of image maps—albedo, normal, roughness, metalness—that describe how a surface reacts to light. They work in Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, and most 3D software. See our complete guide to PBR textures and browse free PBR textures by category.

Are Locker3d textures free for commercial use?

Yes. Our textures are free for personal and commercial use. You can use them in games, films, archviz, and products. Read CC0 textures: what you can and cannot do and free textures for commercial projects.

Do I need to create an account to download?

No. You can browse and download textures without signing up. Go to Textures, choose a category (e.g. wood, concrete, metal), and download the resolution you need (1024, 2K, 4K).

How do I use PBR textures in Blender?

In Blender, use the Principled BSDF: connect albedo to Base Color, roughness to Roughness, normal via a Normal Map node, and metalness to Metallic. Step-by-step: how to apply PBR textures in Blender. More in our blog.

What resolution should I use (1K, 2K, 4K)?

Use 1K for distant or small surfaces, 2K for mid-range, and 4K for close-ups and hero assets. See PBR texture resolution guide.

Where can I find more free PBR texture sites?

We list the best sources in best free PBR texture sites 2025. You can also upload your own textures to share with the community.

What file formats do you offer?

Texture packs typically include PNG or JPEG for albedo and other maps. Normal maps are often in PNG. For details see PBR texture formats and our texture pages.

Can I use these in Unreal Engine or Unity?

Yes. Our PBR textures work in Unreal Engine and Unity. Import the maps and assign them to your material (Base Color, Normal, Roughness, Metallic). Guides: Unreal Engine, Unity.

Do you have wood, concrete, or metal textures?

Yes. Browse wood, concrete, metal, stone, floor, wall, and more in our texture library.

How do I tile textures without visible seams?

Our textures are designed to tile. Use the seamless maps in your material and match scale. For tips see how to tile textures without seams and triplanar mapping.
