An interior still does not need a Megascans seat on every wall. It needs the right family, a real world size, and honest color space. This page is the English archviz kit for Locker3d: which category to open, which example files to download, and when to stop browsing. It is not a “vs library” article. Deadline picking lives on how to choose a pack for a client job. New visitors: start here.
Build the room as three nouns
Write the walkable floor, the largest wall, and one hero close-up (island, headboard, wet-room). That is the download list. A warm Mediterranean brief wants plaster and a worn board. A concrete loft wants slabs and one wood. Do not open forty metals because the thumbnail looked sharp.
Category is scale
- Wood — planks, parquet, veneer. Floors and furniture. Kit: interior wood. First file: worn planks.
- Wall — plaster, brick, paint. A ~2 m tile. First file: yellow plaster.
- Tiles — ceramic modules with grout. Square tiles indoors, patio tiles outside.
- Concrete — slabs and brutalist walls. Kit: urban concrete.
- Floor — pavers and slabs when it is not wood and not ceramic.
- Marble and leather — one accent, not the whole apartment.
Stretch a ceramic like a plank floor and grout becomes a highway. Stretch worn planks across a 20 m facade and knots become billboards.
Lock meters before UVs
- Plaster / paint: about 2 m across the tile.
- Worn boards: 1.5–2 m so one plank width reads as a board.
- Kitchen ceramic: one module (often 20–30 cm).
- Patio: a larger module (30–60 cm), not the backsplash scale.
Numbers and engine notes: texel density for interiors. Resolution theory: 1K vs 2K vs 4K. Locker3d does not ship 8K. Do not tell a client these packs are 8K scans.
Maps and color space
Most interiors need albedo + normal + roughness. Height only on the hero floor or a close plaster. Metallic off on wood, tile, plaster and concrete. In Blender, albedo is sRGB; the rest is Non-Color. Plastic plaster is almost always roughness still in sRGB. Nodes: PBR in Blender. License: CC0 — what you can and cannot do.
Downloads open a Google Drive folder. Grab 2K first; swap the hero to 4K after lighting is approved. We do not host 4K ZIP packs on this shared server.
A 45-minute interior kit

- Wall: yellow plaster or paint/brick in wall.
- Kitchen or bath: square tiles at module scale.
- One accent: marble, leather, or metal. One file, not five.
- Lookdev under the HDRI you will deliver. Locker3d does not publish HDRI.

Frequently asked questions
Can a client interior ship with only free CC0 textures?
Yes, if you lock category and world scale. Use wood or tiles for the floor, plaster for walls, and one hero accent. Free fails when one 4K tile covers every surface.
What resolution should I bind in an apartment scene?
2K on mid-distance walls and furniture. 4K on the floor the camera walks and a beauty backsplash. Locker3d packs stop at 4K; do not promise 8K.
Which Locker3d assets should I open first?
Worn planks or another wood floor, yellow plaster or a paint wall, square tiles for the wet room. Then one marble, leather, or metal accent.
